8 years old

Our little son, well he is not little anymore he is now turning a little bit more independent. He keeps on being a healthy smart child, he is really good at math, and he is brilliant when it comes to numbers. We wanted to see how much into the concrete preoperational stage he was and we got him to practice reversibility, reversibility us when you are adding two numbers and you swap them, if he put the same answer without thinking about it too much it tells us that he mastered reversibility. One day we were at the mall buying some things for our house and we took our beloved child, and a man at a store started talking to him offering him some candy, the guy was very nice to him but our son started crying and crying like crazy, we thought something was wrong so we consulted a psychologist. He told us that it was completely normal, it is called stranger anxiety it happens to kids about this age, when they talk to a person that is new to them they get freaked out. Exactly what happened to Alex. Well we are happy that everything is going on normally.
